About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Founded on the national legacy established in 1971, the Women’s Council of NAREB San Antonio Chapter stands proudly on the shoulders of the pioneering women who transformed opportunity into leadership within the real estate industry.
Our chapter reflects the same mission that began decades ago: to elevate the standards of real estate professionals through education, leadership development, mentorship, and the exchange of knowledge. We continue the commitment made by the women who organized the very first Council to create space for women to grow their expertise, strengthen their networks, and lead with confidence.
As the community service and education arm of the San Antonio Black Real Estate Professionals (SABREP), we focus on expanding access to homeownership, promoting financial literacy, and empowering underserved communities across San Antonio. We welcome the support and collaboration of both women and men who are passionate about equity, opportunity, and representation in real estate.
Today, we carry forward the legacy of the trailblazers who came before us, women like Naomi Black, the Detroit Brokerettes, and the founders who shaped the Women’s Council into a powerful national movement. Their courage created the path.
Our chapter continues the work.

Our Story
The Women’s Council of NAREB, San Antonio Chapter was born out of a shared belief that community, education, and leadership can transform lives. Inspired by the national history of women breaking barriers in real estate, our chapter emerged to meet the needs of a growing city and the families who call it home.
Our story is rooted in service. What began as a small team of determined women grew into a powerful force for outreach, education, and financial empowerment. From homeownership fairs to credit workshops, from leadership development to community support events, we have been intentional about showing up for families who have historically been overlooked.
This chapter also became a place of belonging. For many of us, especially women stepping into leadership for the first time or navigating the industry without support, this organization offered something rare:
sisterhood, strength, purpose, and a voice.
We honor the legacy of the women who fought for a seat at the table, and we carry that same determination forward in San Antonio. With each event, each member who joins, each partnership we build, and each family we empower, we write another chapter of our story.
Our past inspires us.
Our mission guides us.
Our community fuels us.
And our vision is clear, to uplift, educate, and empower the next generation of real estate leaders while expanding homeownership and wealth-building opportunities for underserved families.
